Blood Information Management System
for the Transfusion Hematology Centres

Abstract: The paper describes a Blood Information Management System (BIMS) for management, control and security of the processes of blood donation and transfusion. The structure of the system and the input information forms are briefly discussed. The implementation of the system considers the practical needs and the resources of the Bulgarian centres for transfusion hematology where it is used.
